Mogadishu (HOL) — The SSC-Khaatumo administration has categorically denied allegations that its leader, Abdiqadir Firdhiye, engaged in a phone conversation with Somaliland's new president, Abdirahman Irro, regarding escalating tensions in Erigavo, calling the claims a calculated move to destabilize the fragile region.

In a strongly worded statement, SSC-Khaatumo accused unnamed adversaries of orchestrating a misinformation campaign to disrupt regional peace. The administration confirmed it had referred the matter to legal authorities, vowing to hold those spreading "baseless propaganda" accountable.

The administration firmly ruled out any direct or indirect communication with Somaliland, accusing the breakaway region of orchestrating violence against SSC-Khaatumo's people. It reiterated its unyielding commitment to defending its sovereignty and safeguarding its territory.

Leader Abdiqadir Firdhiye denounced the allegations as an affront to SSC-Khaatumo's integrity and mission, firmly stating that no negotiations or compromises involving its territory would ever be entertained.

These allegations highlight the longstanding divisions between SSC-Khaatumo and Somaliland, which has persistently sought control over contested territories. The administration's denial underscores the delicate balance of power and identity shaping northern Somalia.
