MOGADISHU (HOL) - The family of the deceased female intelligence agent Ikran Tahlil Farah has sued four senior officials at the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), among them immediate former boss Fahad Yasin for complicity in her death.
Through their lawyer, Dahir Mohamed Ali, the mother of Ikran, Qali Guhad, has sued Fahad Yasin, former deputy director Abdullahi Kulane, Abdikani Wadna-qabad and Yasin Faray.
According to the filings by Ali, Guhad alleges that Yasin called Ikran several times asking her to stay in the country and wait for a job appointment, perhaps a promotion since she was already working in the agency.
‘She asked her to wait for a call for the job, and when she finally got the call, she disappeared,” Guhad says.
Abdikani Wadna-qabad picked up Ikran from her home on June 26 and allegedly brought her to Yasin Fare.
Guhad accuses Kulane of threatening her daughter severely, Guhad says, noting her deceased daughter had confided to her about the threats from Kulane.
The family’s lawyer has since filed the charges with the military court in Mogadishu.
